1. Accepting these terms
These terms are a contract between you and Value Garage Private Limited (CIN U66190DL2025PTC453505), a company incorporated under the Companies Act 2013, registered office Flat No. 26, Vandana Apartment, East Delhi 110092, Delhi, India, which runs MaxiMoney (“we”, “us”). By signing in or using the app in any way, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy.
2. What MaxiMoney is
MaxiMoney reads the financial data you connect or declare, shows where your money leaks, and helps you act on it. You can compare bank rates, as a guide, for a loan you already have, ask us to start a loan switch, a new loan request or a loan consolidation, and write a letter to your bank asking for a better rate or a foreclosure statement.
MaxiMoney is not a lender. It does not lend, it does not pay out a loan, and it never moves your money. It is available in India to people aged 18 and over. It runs on an Android phone, on an iPhone and in a browser, and it works the same way on each.
We are not a bank, a non-banking financial company or any body regulated by the Reserve Bank of India. We are not a direct sales agent of any bank. We are not a SEBI-registered investment adviser.
3. Who may use MaxiMoney
- You must live in India, be 18 or over, and be able to enter a contract under the Indian Contract Act 1872. The app checks your age from your date of birth and refuses anyone under 18.
- You must give your real, current mobile number, name, PAN and date of birth, and keep them up to date.
- The PAN you give must be your own, and you must be free to allow a credit report to be obtained on it.
- One account per person. We may merge or suspend more than one account for the same person.
4. Information, not advice
MaxiMoney provides financial information and analysis, not investment advice. Nothing in the app or the report is a recommendation to buy or sell any security, fund, insurance policy or loan. Decisions are yours. Where a step involves a product, take advice from a registered adviser or from the provider.
The figures are only as accurate as your credit report and your tax record. A mistake on your credit report is corrected by the credit information company; write to us and we will tell you how to ask.
5. Your account
You sign in with your mobile number and a six-digit code we text to it. Keep your phone secure: anyone with your SIM or your unlocked phone may be able to sign in, and anything done from your signed-in app is treated as done by you. One account per person.
6. Your consents
Each source of data is used only under a consent you give in the app, valid for 180 days. You can end your consents at any time by closing your account in the app (Profile, then Close my account), which ends every consent (section 10), or by writing to support@maximoney.in. A request that needs our team, such as a loan switch, asks for its own consent the first time, and so do the documents you upload. Our Privacy Policy explains what is collected, who sees it and how long it is kept.
7. Loan help
- Rates are a guide. The rates, savings and offers the app shows for your loans are estimates, worked out from your credit report, what you tell us, and the banks’ rates we compare. They are a guide, not an offer from a bank. An amount shown as pre-approved is our estimate from your tax return, not a bank’s approval. Each bank decides its final rate, its fees and whether to approve you, and its own terms apply to any loan you take.
- Asking is not agreeing. When you start a switch, a new loan request or a consolidation, or ask for a letter to your bank, you are asking for help, not taking a loan. Your request goes to our team, who call you. We share with our lending partners — banks and non-banking financial companies regulated by the Reserve Bank of India — directly or through the loan-distribution companies we work with, what they need to look at your request. Your request may not go to the bank whose rate you saw on screen. The bank rates in the app are published market rates, shown so that you can compare them with what you pay now; they are not offers from those banks, and the rate you are finally offered is the lender's and depends on your own circumstances. Nothing is signed for you.
- A co-applicant. If you give a co-applicant’s name and how they earn, or upload their papers, you confirm that they know and agree. Give details only of a person who has agreed.
- The documents you upload. Before your first upload we ask for a separate consent. Our team sees each file in full, and we may share it with our lending partners for that request. Upload only your own papers, and a co-applicant’s with their agreement.
- Alerts. A rate-drop alert is set once you have the full report, and a notify-me needs no payment. Neither costs anything more, and you can ignore either.
- Your e-mail, when available. The link is read-only: we cannot send, change or delete anything in your mailbox. We use it to look for e-mails with financial documents, to find ways for you to save and to help with your loan applications. To send a switch or a new loan request, the app may ask you to link your income-tax record and your e-mail first. Where it lets you skip a step, our team asks you for the papers instead. Our Privacy Policy says what we keep. Until linking is available, a request goes to our team, who follow it up.
- We do not promise that a bank will approve you, or that you will save what the app estimates.
8. The full report, and the ₹199
The full report is ₹199, paid once, through our payment gateway. It does not expire, and nothing renews on its own. It opens, for each loan, the offers, the savings and the next steps. Paying also lets us read your credit report again and keep it for 180 days, as the line above the pay button says.
The ₹199 also includes a call with our loan specialist, a person on our team, who goes through your loans with you and helps with the paperwork with your bank. The call happens by phone, outside the app. On an iPhone the pay button says "Book my call"; what you get is the same everywhere.
There is no plan, no subscription and no auto-payment. We take nothing from you again, and there is nothing to cancel. The price is the same on an Android phone, on an iPhone and in a browser.
Because the report is delivered in full at purchase, the fee is not refundable except where the law requires. We do refund in two cases: if you were charged twice for the same report, or if you paid and the report did not open and we cannot open it for you. Write to us (section 18) within 30 days of the payment. A refund goes back through the payment gateway, to the way you paid.
9. What you must do, and what you may not do
What you must do
- Give us true information, and update it when it changes, your mobile number, e-mail and PAN above all.
- Use the app for your own money decisions only. Do not resell it, broker with it, or run it for other people.
- Treat our team, and the banks, fairly. Do not misuse a rate, an offer or a letter we give you.
What you may not do
- Use the app for anything unlawful, dishonest or abusive.
- Try to obtain a credit report on a PAN that is not yours, or open another person’s data.
- Give us another person’s details, or upload their papers, without their agreement.
- Pretend to be someone else, or hide who you are.
- Give false or misleading information to a credit agency, a bank or a government body through us.
- Take our code apart, copy it, scrape the service, or try to read its source.
- Interfere with our servers, overload them, hunt for weaknesses, or get around signing in.
10. Closing your account
You may close your account at any time: in the app, Profile, then Close my account. It ends every consent you gave, except your agreement to these terms and the Privacy Policy, and signs you out, and we read nothing new about you. Nothing is erased. Our relationship managers can open your credit report and tax record for 180 days from the day you close, and your requests no longer once you close. The documents you uploaded are open to them for those same 180 days. After the 180 days our customer team keeps a summary. It all stays held until you ask us to erase it.
To have it erased, write to support@maximoney.in. Our deletion page and the Privacy Policy say how long that takes and what the law makes us keep. If you come back, we ask for your consents again before anything new is read.
11. The app as it is
The app is given to you as it is. We do not promise that you will get any particular saving, a lower rate, an approval or any other outcome. A bank makes its own credit decision, and that decision is final.
Every saving, rate and offer the app shows is an estimate (section 7). Your real saving may be more, less or nothing at all.
We are not responsible for an error, a gap or an out-of-date entry in data that reaches us from a credit agency, the income-tax portal, a bank or any other outside source.
Bank names and logos belong to those banks. They appear in the app to show whose rates are being compared, and they do not mean that the bank endorses us or works with us.
12. Our liability
To the extent the law allows:
- We are not liable for decisions you take on the basis of the information the app provides, for the rates, fees or decisions of a bank, or for errors in data supplied by others.
- We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or punitive loss, including lost profit, a lost opportunity or harm to your reputation.
- Our total liability to you, for everything together, cannot be more than what you have paid us in the 12 months before the event you are claiming about, which for the full report is ₹199. If you have paid us nothing, our liability is limited to ₹1,000.
Nothing here limits our liability for fraud, gross negligence or wilful misconduct, or for anything the law does not let us limit.
13. Indemnity
You agree to cover Value Garage Private Limited, its directors, officers and employees against any claim, loss, liability or cost, including reasonable legal fees, arising from your breach of these terms, your misuse of the app, or information you give us that is false or breaks someone else’s rights.
14. Our content
Everything in the app and on our website, the text, the figures, the designs, the logos and the code, belongs to Value Garage Private Limited or to those who licensed it to us, and is protected by copyright, trade mark and other laws. You get a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive right to use the app for your own purposes, and nothing more.
15. Suspending or ending your access
We may suspend or end your access if we believe you have broken these terms, are misusing the app, or if carrying on would put us at legal risk. Where we reasonably can, we will tell you first and give you a chance to put it right. Ending your access does not end what survives by its nature, such as payment, indemnity, our content and the governing law.
16. The law, and the courts
These terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts at New Delhi have exclusive power to decide any dispute, except that we may ask any competent court to protect our content or the security of our systems.
Before going to court, please raise the dispute with our grievance officer (section 18) and try in good faith to settle it.
17. Changes to these terms
We may change these terms. Each new version is published at this address with its date. When a change affects you, the next time you open the app it asks you to agree to the new version before anything else, and records which version you agreed to and when. Until you agree, you can only sign out. We do not treat your carrying on using the app as your agreement.
